Social Welfare and Fundraiser update

We got a call last week from Tanis saying she received a call for the Solwezi Social Welfare office saying they received the file for our boys and they would work on getting us a committal court date asap (have we heard that before...?). Ok so now at this point we are praying for a mid January court date.

We did our fundraiser yesterday morning. First of all a HUGE HUGE thank you to my special friend Amanda Cadman and her nieces (who don't even know me!) for all their full-effort help!!! It was sooooooooooooo cold and we truly could not have done it without EACH OF YOU: Tim & Karen Phillips, Craig & Sarah (from our small group), Kip (also from our group) and Derek and Stephanie and children who selflessly went above and beyond to serve. We are indebted to each of you and take it as a gift to Jesus.

How did it go? was cold. Have I said that already? And there were at least 130 dozen donuts left over unsold....and well...honestly its nice to know thats God's deal-not ours. This was so in His hands. We did it (out of my comfort zone) and He could have easily sold them all in an hour...we did it for Him. We did profit - the total is not in yet. We were amazed and the pure kindness of complete strangers. Many who gave to us not even wanting the donuts but just wanted to give to help with the costs of our adoption! Strangers simply driving by and seeing a need!!

We are continuing to wait to hear back from LIFESONG to hear if we were approved for a matching grant of up to $4000 for donations. When we do hear back we will be sure to update the blog on how you could give a tax deductible donation if you feel led.
